Classic bait and switch. I brought my car in by tow truck due the extremely obvious and loud grinding noise it started making after last winters snowstorm. Brian called later to say they couldn’t find a sound. I explained that you can’t miss it. He then calls back, says they found it, some bent plate and it was fixed!! Then he proceeded to sell me in new brakes and oil service. I grilled him about whether it was truly fixed so easily (because it sounds way worse than some rubbing plate). I knew I couldn’t afford to do the brakes if there was some underlying issue. He assured me that yes it was obvious and yes they fixed it. So then I get a call after the $640 worth of work and it turns out they test drove it and found a “new” sound, like a whirring from the gearbox at “high speeds”. This “new” sound was something beyond what you can fix at your shop, so I would have to take it to a specialist. i asked if it was safe to drive, he said emphatically yes. I went to pick up the car, paid the bill, and within 2 minutes of driving I hear the exact grinding churning sound that I had it towed to your shop to have looked at. Your team totally failed this one.
